Opening of a new branch in Vienna, Austria and strengthening our steel business in Europe

In November 2017, NST opened a Vienna Branch as part of a local subsidiary in Europe, and this branch began full-scale business activities in the region from February 2018. Since the former Sumikin Bussan Corporation established an office in the French capital of Paris in 2007 as a site for sales of metals, the steel business of our European subsidiaries has continued to grow. Primary business areas include steel products for automobiles, titanium products for aircraft, and stainless steel products for wholesalers.
The customers are primarily located in the western European countries of Germany, France, Italy, and the UK, and in recent years there has also been growing demand in central and eastern Europe (Austria, Hungary, and other countries). In order to meet these needs and further expand our operations to capture more demand, we have reinforced our sales system and by establishing a new branch in Austria in eastern Europe.
In the future, we will expand our existing business in central and eastern Europe, and will work to capture demand in new fields with good growth potential (such as automobiles, home appliances, containers, and industrial machinery), and further strengthen our steel business in Europe.
