Using drones to conduct integrated measurements and estimates for roofing and exterior materials: "Dommit"

Our company has developed and is offering a unique platform software, "Dommit," which performs integrated measurements and estimates for roofing and exterior materials using drones.

In the current context of Japan, it is anticipated that the demand for steel will decrease due to the declining number of new residential construction starts and the floor area of non-residential building construction. On the other hand, while the renovation market is expected to see increased demand for repair and refurbishment works due to aging buildings, there are challenges such as reduced order-taking capacity due to the shortage of skilled workers stemming from aging, and the need for systems that improve the convenience for contractors through the efficiency of management tasks. Focusing on this anticipated increase in the renovation market, our company developed "Dommit," a platform for sheet metal contractors involved in renovation projects on roofs and exterior walls, to expand the market and solve on-site issues.

"Dommit" is a platform software that improves efficiency in "on-site surveys" (measuring dimensions and slopes), "quantity takeoff" (determining the quantities of necessary products and materials for construction), and "quotation preparation." It allows for the seamless and simplified execution of tasks from on-site surveys to quotation preparation.
Using drones to perform dangerous high-altitude work ensures safety. The drone can automatically fly and complete measurements within approximately 30 minutes with simple operations on the platform software, reducing working time by up to one-third compared to traditional methods. We will continue to contribute to solving issues in the outdoor exterior field through the provision of this new digital tool, "Dommit."

Automatically capturing images of roofs and walls with a drone, generating 3D models and measuring dimensions and slopes
Based on data measured by the drone and PDF drawings, extracting and allocating the quantities of products and materials needed for construction
