Sustainability Promotion System

In order to continually create social value and economic value through our business activities, NST has established the Sustainability Committee chaired by the President. Through practical and efficient means, we are deepening and promoting ESG management by incorporating activities related to sustainability into our management strategies and operating a PDCA cycle.
The issues and other matters considered and discussed by the Sustainability Committee are reported to and deliberated once each year at meetings of the Management Meeting and Board of Directors, and the Board of Directors carries out regular supervision of this process and provides instructions as necessary.

From the perspective of sustainability, in order to better focus on matters such as improving corporate value, securing and training human resources, and improving employee engagement, the Sustainability Committee has established the following subordinate bodies for different activity themes. Specifically, we have established five subcommittees (SDGs Strategy Subcommittee, Environmental Management Subcommittee, Human Resources Strategy Subcommittee, Public Relations Strategy Subcommittee, and Organization and Operations Subcommittee) centering on the issues facing the NST Group.
We have selected participants according to each theme from the sales planning departments, the Corporate Planning & Administration Division, and other organizations in order to vitalize the activities of each subcommittee. In particular in the Human Resources Strategy Subcommittee and the Organization and Operations Subcommittee, the CDP (Career Development Program) trainees and DX trainees participate as employee representatives, and we are creating a system where a broader range of employee opinions can be collected.
