Nippon Steel Trading Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "our company") welcomed Her Excellency Ms. Kritin Iglum, Ambassador of Norway to Japan, and His Excellency Mr. Akira Sugiyama, Ambassador of Japan to Norway, to our joint exhibition booth with HYSTAR AS of Norway (hereinafter referred to as “Hystar”) at the H2 & FC EXPO - Int’l Hydrogen & Fuel Cell Expo, held at Tokyo Big Sight from March 17 (Tue) to 19 (Thu).

Our company positions Hystar, a leading manufacturer of PEM water electrolyzers, as a strategic partner. Since our investment in the company in 2023, we have strengthened our collaboration through joint exhibitions and additional investment. As Hystar’s exclusive distributor in Japan, we are actively expanding the sales of the company’s electrolyzers and stacks.
During the visit, employees from our company and Hystar explained the features and cutting‑edge technologies of PEM water electrolyzers, as well as both companies’ business development initiatives in the Japanese market. The ambassadors also deepened their understanding of the potential for bilateral collaboration in the hydrogen sector. Their visit served as a symbolic opportunity to further enhance cooperation between the two countries in the green hydrogen field.
Our company will continue to strengthen its partnership with Hystar and contribute to the expansion of Japan’s green hydrogen business and the realization of a carbon‑neutral society through increased awareness and market development of water electrolyzers.
