Our Domestic Subsidiary Will Merge with a Temporary Seating Manufacturer

Nippon Steel Trading Corporation (head office: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President: Shinichi Nakamura; hereinafter “NST”) hereby announces that one of its subsidiaries, NS Kenzai Hanbai Co., Ltd. (head office: Koto-ku, Tokyo; President: Shinichiro Kato; hereinafter “NS Kenzai Hanbai”), will merge with SK Co., Ltd. (head office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President: Hiroyuki Muto; hereinafter “SK”), a 100% subsidiary of Nippon Steel Metal Products Co., Ltd.
１．Objectives
NS Kenzai Hanbai, which has strengths in the sale, processing, and manufacturing of building materials, will absorb SK, a company that offers event and other temporary seating solutions. Their merger will facilitate the optimization and improvement of their individual building capacities, allowing them to provide better service to customers, reinforce and expand sales platforms, and strengthen safety and compliance measures, in a step toward achieving greater customer satisfaction.

This is an absorption-type merger in which NS Kenzai Hanbai will be the surviving company and SK will be the absorbed company.
