“Eruboshi” Certification as an Excellent Company Based on the Act on Promotion of Women's Participation and Advancement in the Workplace

Nippon Steel & Sumikin Bussan Corporation (headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo, President: Kenji Hiwatari, hereafter referred to as “NSSB”) has obtained the “Eruboshi” certification from the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare which certifies it as an excellent company promoting women’s participation and advancement in the workplace. Among those companies that formulated action plans and submitted notification of them based on the Act on Promotion of Women's Participation and Advancement in the Workplace that took effect on April 1, 2016, the “Eruboshi” designation is presented to companies that satisfy certain standards and which are recognized for the excellence of programs for promoting the participation and advancement of women in the workplace. NSSB has achieved the second certification class (of three classes).
