Oct 24, 2025

MMI Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "MMI”), a group company of Nippon Steel Trading Corporation (hereinafter, “our company”), designs, manufactures, and provides after-sales support for industrial cranes. At MMI, employees are active both in their work and private lives and demonstrate multifaceted talents.

Two MMI employees, Yasuhiro Uehara and Shiyu Orikawa, have made remarkable achievements in the BMX (Bicycle Motocross) Flatland discipline—a street sport gaining attention both in Japan and overseas. Along with achieving excellent results in domestic and international competitions, they actively promote BMX by supporting its spread and contributing to event management. In fact, they have even planned and launched new competitions themselves, helping drive the broader development of the BMX community.

The "spirit of challenge" and "perseverance" cultivated through BMX are being utilized in their working lives as well, contributing to improved teamwork and greater motivation on the job. Both commented, "Because our work-life balance is so well-supported, we’re able to fully dedicate ourselves to BMX activities. We are grateful to the company for providing such a supportive working environment."
