Nippon Steel Trading Corporation Establishes "Health Promotion Section" ~ For Further Strengthening Health Management ~

Nippon Steel Trading Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "our company") has been promoting initiatives to further enhance health management as a key theme of ESG management. On April 1st, the Company established "Health Promotion Section" within the Human Resources Department, specialized to carry out tasks related to enhancing employees' health.
The Health Promotion Section will organically link the Human Resources Department and other related departments, such as the Health Insurance Association, which handle tasks related to employees' health. This will enable the Company to further enhance and efficiently implement initiatives for improving employees' health.
The key initiatives in health management implemented so far
・Enhancement and thorough implementation of lifestyle improvement guidance by industrial physicians and nursing staff
・Implementation of cancer screenings for "breast," "cervical," "colorectal," "stomach," and "lung" (maintaining a high screening rate of over 90%)
・Expansion of interviews by industrial physicians and placement of external counselors as mental health measures, support for high-risk organizations, and holding seminars on line management
・Promotion of workplace environment improvements through stress checks and the use of group analysis results
・Smoking cessation education for young employees
・Raising awareness of the importance of specific health guidance aimed at preventing lifestyle-related diseases and encouraging higher participation rates
・Increasing the rate of family health check-ups
・Implementation of web seminars addressing female-specific health issues (Female Care)
・Hosting a physical fitness measurement event, "How old is your current physical strength?"
・Creation of a "Health Management App" on the company intranet
・Introduction of the 1Minute 1Action
Our company has been promoting various health management initiatives so far. In the future, we will continue to enhance and implement new measures, centered around the Health Promotion Section, to improve employees’ health and strengthen health management.
