Regarding the Establishment of NIPPON STEEL TRADING (PHILIPPINES) CORPORATION

Nippon Steel Trading Corporation (hereinafter "NST") hereby announces that it has established NIPPON STEEL TRADING (PHILIPPINES) CORPORATION (hereinafter "the Philippine Subsidiary") and has begun preparations for its opening in July.
Since establishing a representative office in the Philippines in 2016, the Company has been engaged in marketing activities such as market research and information gathering.
With the establishment of the Philippine Subsidiary, we will capture the demand expected to grow in the Philippines, including in the infrastructure and energy sectors, by leveraging the market knowledge, customer relationships, and networks accumulated through our past activities, as well as the procurement functions of the NST group. Moving forward, we will contribute to the development of the country and aim for further growth as the true core trading company of the Nippon Steel Group and expand our overseas businesses.
