Support Expressed by the Governor of Guanajuato State, Mexico for the Construction Project of the New Coil Center for Electrical Steel Sheet

Nippon Steel Trading Corporation (hereinafter "NST") hereby announces that it has received expressions of support from Mr. Diego Rodriguez, Governor of Guanajuato State, Mexico, and other state government officials, for the construction project of the new coil center for electrical steel sheet, "NIPPON STEEL TRADING COIL CENTER MEXICO S.A. DE C.V."* (located in Apaseo El Grande, Guanajuato State) and the future expansion of business in Mexico.
On March 7th, Governor Rodriguez and officials from the Guanajuato State government visited the Kansai branch/Osaka Manufacturing Department (located in Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture) of NSM Coil Center Co., Ltd. a group company of NST, that engages in the cutting and processing of steel plate. During the visit, they expressed their gratitude for our business expansion and investment activities in the state and we reaffirmed long-term and strategic partnership each other.
With the strong support and partnership from the state, NST will proceed with the construction project of the new coil center and prepare for the commencement of factory operations in April 2025. Through the expansion of the electrical steel sheet business, we will also contribute to employment and economic revitalization in the state.
