Support for "Ronald McDonald House" and "Ronald McDonald Family Room"

Nippon Steel Trading Corporation (hereinafter "NST") is pleased to announce that on March 15th (Thursday), we have donated 3 million yen as a Gold Sponsor to the "Ronald McDonald House" and "Ronald McDonald Family Room" operated by the Ronald McDonald House Charities Japan (located at 6-5-1 Nishi-Shinjuku, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo, Chairman: Takashi Igarashi, hereinafter "RMHCJ").
NST, with the basic concept of " creating a strong growth company that contributes to society," has included "deepening ESG management" as one of the key measures in our medium to long-term management plan and is actively engaged in social contribution activities. We have supported the foundation as a Silver Sponsor since 2010, sympathizing with its philosophy and social contribution activities. However, this year marks a new beginning as we step up to become a Gold Sponsor. Through this new role, we will provide even more support.
■About "Ronald McDonald House" and "Ronald McDonald Family Room"
he "Ronald McDonald House" operated by RMHCJ supports children facing illness and their families by providing a place to stay for families caring for hospitalized or outpatient children. The establishment and operation costs of the "Ronald McDonald House" are covered by donations and fundraising from corporations, organizations, and individuals.
Currently, there are 386 locations in 48 countries and regions (as of February 2024), and in Japan, there are 12 facilities in addition to the "Ronald McDonald Family Room (Sakakibara Memorial Hospital)," which is set up inside hospitals as a place of rest for the body and mind, where families accompanying hospitalized children can have light meals and take breaks.
