Nippon Steel Trading Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "our company") will exhibit at Japan Drone 2026, one of Japan’s largest specialized drone exhibitions, to be held at Makuhari Messe from June 3 (Wed) to June 5 (Fri), 2026. At our booth, we will showcase the non‑destructive inspection drone manufactured by Skygauge Robotics (hereinafter referred to as “Skygauge”) of Canada, with whom our company holds exclusive distribution rights in Japan, along with the latest model currently under development.

Skygauge’s drone is equipped with a proprietary contact mechanism that enables the aircraft to press stably against inspection surfaces while in flight. This technology allows ultrasonic thickness measurements to be performed on steel structures, tanks, piping, bridges, plant facilities, and other assets without the need for staging or rope access traditionally required for high‑risk or hard‑to‑reach locations. The use of this drone contributes to reducing workload during inspections, shortening equipment downtime, and strengthening overall safety.
