Nippon Steel Trading and Hystar Demonstrate Strong Partnership for Green Hydrogen Expansion – Presidents of Both Companies Visit “H2 & FC EXPO - Hydrogen & Fuel Cell Expo” –

Nippon Steel Trading Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "our company") hosted a meeting between our President, Mr. Nakamura, and Mr. MOWILL, President of Norway’s HYSTAR AS (hereinafter referred to as “Hystar”), at our booth during the H2 & FC EXPO - Int’l Hydrogen & Fuel Cell Expo, held at Makuhari Messe from September 17th (Wed) to September 19th (Fri). The two leaders reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening their partnership for the expansion of green hydrogen.

Our company jointly exhibited with Hystar. with the aim of raising awareness of Hystar’s water electrolysis equipment, as Hystar is a leading manufacturer of PEM-type electrolyzers, as the exclusive distributor in Japan.
During the exhibition period, on September 18th (Thu), our President Mr. Nakamura and Hystar President Mr. MOWILL visited the booth. Mr. Nakamura commented, “In developing our decarbonization business, we have positioned Hystar as a strategic and mutually beneficial partner and have built a strong relationship since 2023. This joint exhibition has deepened our partnership further, and together with globally active Hystar, we will expand the green hydrogen business in Japan by promoting the adoption of water electrolysis equipment.”
Mr. MOWILL said, “I am very pleased to have the opportunity to exhibit at a Japanese trade show for the first time as Hystar. I also sincerely appreciate the cooperation of Nippon Steel Trading, who made this exhibition possible. Going forward, we aim to further strengthen our collaboration and promote our advanced water electrolysis equipment in the Japanese and Asian markets. I have great expectations that our two companies will work together to lead the world toward realizing a sustainable hydrogen society.”
Moving forward, our company and Hystar will continue to contribute to the realization of a carbon-neutral society by expanding the sales of water electrolysis equipment in the Japanese market.
