Launch of Sales of Nippon Steel’s “NSCarbolex Neutral” to HH Stainless, One of Singapore’s Largest Stainless Steel Distributors

Nippon Steel Trading Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "our company") has begun supplying “NSCarbolexTM Neutral*1” to HH Stainless Pte Ltd*2(hereinafter referred to as "HH Stainless")—one of Singapore’s largest stainless steel distributors. This marks the first order for NSCarbolex Neutral duplex stainless pipes*3 products by Nippon Steel and the Company.
HH Stainless is one of the largest stainless steel distributors in Singapore, with over 30 years of experience in stainless steel. The company has developed its business with a focus on stainless steel pipes for the petrochemical, construction, marine, and offshore sectors.
This initiative was made possible through the alignment of our vision to contribute to the realization of a decarbonized society and environmental conservation—one of the key issues in advancing ESG management—with HH Stainless’s vision of “Sustainability For The Next Generation.”
Going forward, we will continue to collaborate with HH Stainless and other partner companies, and as a core trading company of the Nippon Steel Group, contribute to the realization of a carbon-neutral society.
*1：NSCarbolexTM Neutral
This is the name of green steel by Nippon Steel Corporation, applying the mass balance approach. The steel product is supplied with certificates by allocating the volume of greenhouse gas (GHG) reductions, such as CO2, achieved through projects with additionality of GHG reduction carried out by the company, to arbitrary products within the organization. It complies with the "Guidelines for Green Steel Applying the mass Balance Approach," established by The Japan Iron and Steel Federation.
